Metro ERP Sales Onboarding Guide

To configure your Metro ERP Sales settings for the onboarding process, follow these steps:

1) Access the Sales module: You can access the Sales module from the main dashboard: Click on the Sales application icon. (Refer below to the screenshot.)



2) The initial onboarding setup options for your sales system can be found in the sales dashboard. (Refer below to the screenshot.)



3) Set Up Sales Terms and Conditions


Begin by clicking the "Configure TC" button within the Sales Terms and Conditions setup section. This will launch the "Sales Terms and Conditions" dialog.


Display standard terms and conditions on sales orders, providing clarity and transparency to customers regarding the terms of the sale, and allowing businesses to communicate important contractual or legal information effectively. Additionally, businesses can customize these terms and conditions to meet their specific requirements and policies.

Fill out all the fields in the form and click on the "Apply" button, then this step is displayed with  Step Completed! stage.



4) Now, click on the "Customize" button from the Quotation Layout setup and view the "Quotation Layout" dialog. ​


This section allows you to customize quotation layouts, report headers, footers, and other configurations. Tailor these settings to your specific needs and click on the "Apply" button. This step is displayed in the  Looks great! stage.



Here, you can enter your desired quotation option in the provided layout. Utilize this tool to tailor the visual presentation of your documents. Choose from a variety of layout templates, paper formats, colors, fonts, and logos to craft a unique appearance. Additionally, incorporate your company tagline and customize the footer content for your documents. Metro ERP seamlessly integrates your company's contact details, including phone number, email, website URL, and Tax ID (or VAT number), as per the settings you've established in the company data. This module contains a set of colorful designs. The end user can configure the quotation fields easily. You have to activate developer mode for this. This report is only available in English language.

5) Now, click on the "Customize" button from the Delivery Layout setup and view the "Delivery Layout" dialog. ​


This section allows you to customize delivery layouts, report headers, footers, and other configurations. Tailor these settings to your specific needs and click on the "Apply" button. This step is displayed in the  Looks great! stage.

6) Click the "Find Product" button in the Create First Product setup to view the "Create First Product" dialog box.



 Fill in the details for the product you want to create:


       Product Name: Enter a name for the product.

       Product Type: Choose the appropriate product type (e.g., Storable Product, Consumable, Service).

      Note: Storable products calculate inventory stock, consumable and service product types don't maintain stock.

       Product Category: Assign the product to a category if you've set up product categories.

7) Fill in the details for the pricing and inventory:

​∙ Set the product's sale price and cost price.

         If the product is stockable, you can manage its inventory by enabling the "Inventory" option.




Fill out all the fields in the form and click on the "Apply" button, then this step is displayed in the Looks great! stage.

8) Now, click on the " Create First Customer " button from the Create First Customer and view the "Create First Customer" dialog 

Fill in the Basic Information.

  1. Name: Enter the name of the contact.
  2. Company: If applicable, select or enter the company name.
  3. Address: Fill in the address details, such as street, city, state, zip code, and country.
  4. Tax ID: Enter the tax id number.
  5. Job Position: Enter thejob position
  6. Phone: Enter the phone number.
  7. Mobile Number: Enter the mobile number
  8. Email: Enter the email address.
  9. Website: Enter your website URL.
  10. Title: Enter the title details.
  11. Tags: Add any tags if needed for categorisation.
  12. Image: Upload a profile picture for the contact if desired.


Fill out the fields as per your needs in the form and click on the "Apply" button. This step is displayed in the Looks great! stage.

9) Now, click on the "Send Sample" button from the Create Your First Quotation setup, and it will redirect to the New Create Quotation page.


Fill out the fields as per your needs in the form and click on the "Save" button. This step is displayed in the Step Completed! stage. 



The user has completed the final step of Create Your First Quotation setup, indicating that the Sales Onboarding process has been completed successfully.

You can click on the closed icon so Sales Onboarding panel has been closed or removed from the sales dashboard page.


​Creating a quotation in Metro ERP is a straightforward process. Begin by logging into your Metro ERP instance and navigating to the Sales module. Click on "Quotations" and then "Create" to start a new quotation. Select the customer, add the products or services with their details, and specify any terms and conditions. After reviewing the quotation for accuracy, save it.
