How to create pricelist?
In Metro ERP, creating a pricelist allows you to define specific pricing rules based on products, customers, or conditions such as quantity sold or sale date. Here's how you can create a pricelist:
1) Go to the "Sales" module by clicking on its icon in the main dashboard or using the application menu.
2) Navigate to the "Products > Pricelists" menu.
3) Here, you'll find a list of all existing price lists within your Sales application.
4) Create a New Pricelist:
Go to Sales → Products → Pricelists.
Click the Create button to open a new pricelist form.
Define the Pricelist:
Name: Enter the name of the pricelist (e.g., "Public Pricelist").
Currency: Choose the currency in which the pricelist will apply.
Discount Policy: Choose between:
- Discount included in price: Prices in the pricelist will show the final amount, including any discounts.
- Show discount to the customer: The customer will see the discount separately on the order.
5) Add Pricelist Rules:
In the Pricelist Items tab, click Add a line to define the pricing rules:
- Apply On: Specify whether the rule applies to All Products, Product Category, Product, or Product Variant.
- Min. Quantity: Set the minimum quantity for which the pricing rule will apply.
- Price Computation: Select how the price will be computed:
- Fixed Price: Set a fixed price for the products.
- Percentage (Discount): Apply a percentage discount to the original price.
- Formula: Define a formula based on cost, public price, or another criterion.
- Start/End Date (optional): Define the period during which the pricelist will be valid.
6) Set Up a Global Discount (if needed):
If you want to apply a global discount for all products, you can create a rule in the same section for All Products and specify a percentage discount.
7) Assign Pricelist to Customers (optional):
If you want to assign the pricelist to a specific customer or customer group:
Go to Sales → Customers.
Open the customer form, and under the Sales & Purchases tab, select the pricelist in the Pricelist field.
Save the customer form.
8) Save the Pricelist:
Once all your rules are defined, click Save.
Testing the Pricelist:
To test the pricelist, create a sales order and select the customer for whom the pricelist applies. The pricing rules defined in the pricelist should automatically apply to the products in the order.
