How to edit users into the system?

To edit users in Metro ERP, follow these steps:

1) Login into the system

2) Go to the settings


3) Click on "Manage Users."

4) Edit a User

Select the User to Edit: Click on the user you wish to edit from the list. You can search for the user using the search bar at the top if needed.


5) Edit User Information: Once you've selected a user, you can change their information:

Header Section:

  • Name: The name of the user (in this case, "Ankan").
  • Email Address: The user’s email address (ankan@metrogroup.solutions).
  • Save & Discard Buttons:
    • Save: Used to save any changes made to the user’s settings.
    • Discard: Cancels any changes made.
  • Password Reset Link: The green notification at the top indicates that a password reset request has been sent, and a link is available for the user to reset their password.

Multi Companies:

  • Allowed Companies: Lists the companies the user is allowed to access. In this case, it is Metro Group Pte Ltd.
  • Default Company: The user's default company for all operations, set as Metro Group Pte Ltd.

Roles & Permissions:

This section outlines the user’s roles across different Metro ERP modules. Each module has a drop-down menu where you can set access levels (e.g., Administrator, User, or None). Here are the specific sections:

  1. ERP Administration: The user is given the role of ERP Admin.

  2. Sales:

    • Sales: The user has been assigned the role of Administrator.
    • Point of Sale and CRM: No specific role is assigned.
  3. Accounting:

    • Billing Administrator is selected, giving the user accounting permissions.
  4. Inventory:

    • The user has the roles of Administrator for both Inventory and Purchase.
  5. Other:

    • PEPPOL and Helpdesk roles: User is selected.
  6. Developer Tools: The user has access to Developer Tools.

  7. User Guide: No specific role assigned.

  8. IRAS: The user has a Tax Role.

  9. Administration: No role assigned here.


Tabs Section:

  1. Access Rights: This tab is selected, allowing you to modify the user’s permissions and roles across various modules.
  2. Preferences: Another tab (not selected in this screenshot) where you can configure user-specific preferences like language, timezone, and notifications.

Other Permissions & Settings:

At the bottom, there are various checkboxes and options to configure additional permissions or features:

  • Access to Private Addresses: Checked, meaning the user can view private addresses.
  • Batch Pickings: Checked, allowing the user to manage batch picking.
  • Flavor Sync Enabled, Menu Invisible, Automatic Invoice, Default Quotation Validity, Landed Costs, and Purchase Cancel Feature: These are not checked, meaning the user does not have access to or hasn't enabled these features.

6) Click on "Save"
