​ ​ ​​How to Create/Add a Credit Note in Metro Accounting System?

To add a credit note in Metro ERP's Accounting App, follow these steps:

1) Navigate to the Accounting Module:

 Click on the 'Accounting' module.

2) Access Customer Invoices:

In the left sidebar or top menu, click on 'Customer Invoices’.

3) Open the Existing Customer Invoice:

You can open an existing one that you want to create a credit note for.

Add a Credit Note: Inside the customer invoice, click a button ‘Add Credit Note’ button.


4) Fill in Credit Note Details:

 Add credit method and the reason for the credit note.

Click “Reverse”.

A draft credit note will be created.

5) Click a button ‘Confirm’ button.

6) Register a Refund Payment

If you're refunding money, click "Register Payment" on the credit note.

7)  Enter payment method, date, and amount refunded.

Alternate Method: Manually Create a Credit Note

If you're not basing it on an existing invoice:

8) Go to Customers > Credit Notes.


9) Click on Create button.


10) Manually enter the customer, products, and amounts (with negative values).

11) Click a button ‘Confirm’ button.


12) Register a Refund Payment

If you're refunding money, click "Register Payment" on the credit note.

13)  Enter payment method, date, and amount refunded.


14) View the Credit Note.
